It has more detail than most military jackets with a detachable  flap to secure the collar in the 'up' mode, double skinned elbows with distinctive parallel stitching (although some personnel remove these) and Italian white star emblems on the points of the collar. The four pocket design is quite fitted and is suitable for both men and women.
