    This is the issue shirt/jacket from the American army in its digital camouflage pattern called ACU ( Army Combat uniform ) 

         The shirt is of very good quality made from a ripstop cotton/nylon mix which offers reasonably light weight for hot weather ops but still with good durabilty. Soldiers reported that it was more breathable and cooler than the previous desert combat uniform. It incorporates  Near Infrared ( NIR ) technology to minimise infra-red silhouette and has a permanent, small  Infra-Red square sewn into the shoulder pocket flap to identify friendly personnel when night vision optics are used. It has a protective velcro flap which is used when in garrison.
